It's arguably a clue to the emotional behavior of someone once in a similar situation. It can create a connection and affect opinions.
Arguably. [Nope she's not amused and no longer frustrated about map deadlines.]
To be fair, basket weaving has been a recently acquired skill. I'm much more comfortable with welding and working in a machine shop. Point me in the direction of said someone with appropriate skills, and I'll line up a request.
You're lucky. I've been up to check on my garden, feed the hares and shelter them from the rain a bit better, and fulfill a few other tasks that arose on my To Do Lists. Luckily I anticipated the atmosphere changing to provide actual weather quite some time ago, and built a quaint, functional fireplace that vents smoke out of our home. I'd like not to catch a cold, or worse, in this place.
I do believe I can partition my time to handle more than one project. [She's teasing again, clearly this is all she ever does with her time.] I agree on the exploration, so long as they're more than blatant long walks on the beach or strolls through the countryside. I'd like to observe what sorts of useful items the rains may have washed out of the ground.
[ klaus isn't sure if he should be dismissive, impressed, or suspicious of velma's pointed perceptions, if they're pointed at all. this one in particular makes a mark. he lets it slide. ]
I'll look out for someone adept at basket-weaving, in any case. [ or maybe he'll just make it for her. ]
Once again you've beaten most of us to the punch, so I'll defer to whatever the lady wishes. [ but he'd take her for long walks on the beach and through the countryside if she wanted to ok. not that he doesn't know a thing or two about map-making, given he was buddies with magellan, but he'll be extra humble. ] It'd be useful to mark some of the areas in order to put up a few signs.
I would appreciate it, thank you. [Which is the truth. Any help that she can receive is quite welcome, even if it comes from a terrifyingly charming hybrid that could kill her in an instant.]
I think that's a fair bargain, though all this power might start going to my head soon enough. [Not that it's real power, per say, but he's letting her make decisions to likely have her feel like he's less of a threat. Or, he actually recognizes that she knows what she's doing for the most part.
Don't take her on long, romantic walks because she not so secretly enjoys them.]
Signs are an excellent idea. We could also take a picture of a finished map and post it on the network for quick access to the new arrivals... Should they be resourceful enough to do a bit of research before asking everyone the same, redundant questions about this place.
Nothing wrong with indulging a bit of confidence. [ maybe letting her make decision is due to both. not to mention he does hold an appreciation for her. ] Worst come to worst they can be pointed in the right direction. [ get it. bc maps. ]
I've also started a collection of illustrations of the vegetation and the like. With some study and literature it could be made a guide. [ at this point he's just gifting velma with projects. she's like his little study-buddy. ]
