I'm supposed to ask you about time travel.
I'm pretty sure you've got no idea how to time travel, so sorry in advance, but at this point, anything's worth a shot. ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

I have deadline requests for the maps. Apparently we're the only two capable of translating the world around us into two dimensions and recording it on paper or leather.
My frustration is not with you, of course, and I hope this finds you well as one can be in such a situation.
[See, she still has manners despite her silly annoyance.]

[ Blame Damon. Blame everything on Damon. ]
So you don't have magical powers to go back and fix everything, got it.
I think I saw the movie about that, though! The monster effects weren't very good.
[ Kise Ryouta: not exactly an intellectual, but by god, he's going to try to roll with the conversation anyway. ]

Surely a man like yourself can empathize rather than sympathize? The common masses can learn patience with demand greatly outweighs the supply. I told them I'd have to discuss the timeline of production with my conspirator on the matter.
I am tired and often wet, but that's a near constant here, especially these days. I crafted several 'umbrellas,' with fronds, but they're a band-aid on a limb with gangrene for as much good as they do.
Though, I do have a goal to fix the plumbing now that there's sufficient pressure head to push water through the system.

It's arguably a clue to the emotional behavior of someone once in a similar situation. It can create a connection and affect opinions.
Arguably. [Nope she's not amused and no longer frustrated about map deadlines.]
To be fair, basket weaving has been a recently acquired skill. I'm much more comfortable with welding and working in a machine shop. Point me in the direction of said someone with appropriate skills, and I'll line up a request.
You're lucky. I've been up to check on my garden, feed the hares and shelter them from the rain a bit better, and fulfill a few other tasks that arose on my To Do Lists. Luckily I anticipated the atmosphere changing to provide actual weather quite some time ago, and built a quaint, functional fireplace that vents smoke out of our home. I'd like not to catch a cold, or worse, in this place.
I do believe I can partition my time to handle more than one project. [She's teasing again, clearly this is all she ever does with her time.] I agree on the exploration, so long as they're more than blatant long walks on the beach or strolls through the countryside. I'd like to observe what sorts of useful items the rains may have washed out of the ground.

[ Kise would support this plan wholeheartedly. Until he realized it was actual choking, but details. ]
Someone whose name definitely isn't Stefan told me to ask you about it.
Any idea who that could be?

It's not like we're friends or anything. θ\(;¬_¬)
I kind of wanted to punch him, actually. Is he usually like that?

[ Teach him your Damon-terrorizing ways, Klaus-senpai. ]
I'm not sure, he wasn't using video. That could be him? What's his name?

[Rebekah would argue that making an arrangement with someone she has history with as opposed to deciding on relying on virtual strangers for survival isn't desperate -- it's smart.
Not that she knows that he knows (though she wouldn't be surprised he figured it out -- he was always rather good at it.)]
well enough, I've been managing to keep myself in good shape

[ This is not going to end well, but Kise will probably be in over his head before he realizes this. Besides, payback at Damon, (hopefully) worth it! ]
Yeah, he said you were Klaus and that you loved helping strangers.
[ Kise feels he was entirely right to be skeptical about that claim. ]
Anyway, I'm Kise Ryouta~★ Nice to meet you!

[It takes her a few days and really, staying with Rebekah has been nice. It's been easy to just hide with her and not think about how to tell Klaus about what happened. She hasn't had to think about it. Hasn't had to think about how much it hurts to be without her daughter.
Stefan is going to stay with Rebekah, though and so she can't hide forever.]
I was told you were here, but I'm still vague on the when part. So a direct question seemed best. What's the last thing you remember from back home?
